Weekly reflections

Week 7

EdCamps look so fun, I need to attend one in my lifetime because just on the video and overview we watched in class, I’m convinced this would be one of the most fun things I could do as a teacher (other than teach).

EdCamps shake up how teachers do professional development days. They’re like chill, participant-driven gatherings where everyone pitches in on what they want to learn. It’s all about taking charge of your learning and feeling empowered. You get to hang out with educators from different backgrounds, swap ideas, and learn from each other. Plus, there’s no stuffy agenda – you just go with the flow and dive into whatever interests you. It’s hands-on, interactive, and totally inspiring for teachers who may be stuck in a rut of previous Pro-D days. I think they look like a lot of fun, almost like a break from teaching and more so a fresh way of learning!

I am looking forward to a point where I can get to attend an EdCamp! I’m going to keep my eye out for this because they look to be something right up my alley.
