Week 6
This week we discussed using AI in the classroom! It was a super interesting discussion about how certain teachers have their own opinions on using AI in any regard in the classroom. I really enjoyed this talk and it actually inspired one of my own personal inquiry reflection post using ChatGPT. I thought it was super interesting to see how it would respond to me asking for it to help with my italian. It was very much hit and miss, but I think it was overall helpful to converse with something! Better than nothing I suppose!
As far as using this in a classroom, I would maybe ask it for ideas as to what lessons you could do, but I wouldn’t trust it to write a lesson plan on its own or to give you any resources for that. It just seems a little too sketchy to me to be asking it to do all of those things. How much can a algorithm know about teaching?
